Pakistan film industry has really taken a pace, much is happening and much more is in pipeline. Kambakht update!
The much awaited Hamza Ali Abbasi directed Pakistani rom-com, ‘Kambakht’ has been out of news for quite some time now, and it has got us worried. So we here reached out to the producer of the film, Eyad Ibrahim, and asked him about the current status of his upcoming entertainer.
‘Well all I can say right now is that the shoot has been completed and we are working on its score (soundtrack) at the moment’ Ibrahim commented on the film’s progress.
Talking about the film’s release plan, Ibrahim briefly added that ‘the film will probably release towards the end of this year or the early next year.’
For now we just hope this post-production work wraps up for the film soon, so that we finally get to enjoy the comedy in cinemas.
Javed Sheikh jumps to Bollywood again!
After Main Hoon Shahid Afridi, Sultanat and the ongoing blockbuster Na Maloom Afraad, the legend Javed Sheikh returns to Bollywood…
Known for his well praised work in films like Namastay London, Jaan E Man and of course the ever glamor and the blockbuster hit, Om Shanti Om, the pride of Pakistan will now be seen portraying the father of Ranbir Kapoor in perhaps one of India’s best director; Imtiaz Ali’s next.
The film that is titled as Tamasha will also see Deepika Padukone in a major role. While taking to the writer, the legend also announced that he will be the part of Farrah Khan’s next too … We wish Sheikh a very best of luck!
Shoaib Mansoor’s Next?? Not really.
It is being reported lately that the ace director; pioneer of the new age Pakistani cinema, Mr. Shoaib Mansoor is working on a script, multiple perhaps and that he has also started preparations for his next. A source close to the worshipped legend, however, tells us a different story.
Denying all the rumors, the source says Shoaib Mansoor is currently just relaxing and has no plans of making a film in the near future. Well, don’t be upset, you never know when Shoaib Mansoor would surprise you all of a sudden, it can after all be just a tactic to keep things tightly under the wraps; just the way Mansoor likes it.
Kübra Khan of Na Maloom Afraad steps into Bollywood too!
Meera, Sara Loren, Humaima Malick … Who’s next? It’s the pretty face of Na Maloom Afraad, Kübra Khan, who is next going to be seen carrying a significant character in an upcoming Indian comedy film, ‘Welcome to Karachi.’
The film, which will be a comic take on the life in Karachi, will also feature the Indian comedy king, Arshad Warsi among other well-known actors. We hope Kübra manages to make her presence felt across the border and makes us proud on this side of the boundary.
There are reports that also suggest us that Kubra will be a part of upcoming local action-thriller, Mission 5, and will star opposite Shaan Shahid.
Fawad Khan’s Indo-Pak project.
After making a huge name for himself on the both sides of the border and being recently declared the fifth best actor in Bollywood, Fawad Khan now plans to produce a collaborative India-Pakistan project, and that too with Ali Zafar involved.
Sources tell us that the film will be an action-packed roller-coaster and for that Khan will be making some muscles. It is also said that two well-known Bollywood actresses will also be a part of the project.
Let’s hope this Indo-Pak formula works this time, and manages to impress the film fans on both sides of the border
Major Mujtaba goes international in Waar 2.
In an interview with the writer, Dr. Hassan Waqas Rana gives a sneak peek of Waar 2 and the main plot line. Rana says that Major Mujtaba (character of Shaan Shahid) this time goes international. He also mentions that a few international actors, including some from Hollywood will be a part of this upcoming bomb too.
From Pakistan, Ayesha Omar, Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, Bilal Ashraf, Aleeze Nasser and Ahmad Taha Ghani among others will be seen in action.
