A press release came out today announcing the title of the film as Saat Din Mohabbat In (SDMI) which is an innovative, offbeat romantic comedy set in contemporary Karachi.

Directed by the critically acclaimed duo of Meenu and Farjad, the film stars gorgeous Raeeszaadi Mahira Khan and handsome hunk Sheheryar Munawar. Interestingly, the two leads are great friends (you have to check out their dubsmash videos), so it will definitely be a treat to see both these stars together in a film where we get to see their chemistry.

Moreover, the script is written by Fasih Bari Khan of ‘Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah’ fame and the film is a hilarious romantic tale about a young man’s quest to find his true love in a crowded Karachi neighbourhood, and the obstacles, both spiritual and physical, that he must overcome in order to achieve his goals.

“Fast-paced and dynamic, this moving film promises to be both a visual and musical
treat for moviegoers, as well as an authentic representation of life in Karachi’s
teeming neighbourhoods,” said a spokesperson for DawnFilms.

“The choice of the two stars, Mahira Khan and Sheheryar Munnawar, in offbeat roles,
along with supporting roles played by theater and film actors, promises the kind of
film that audiences have seldom seen in Pakistan,” added the spokesperson.

DawnFilms, the film division of The Dawn Media Group, will act as executive
producers of this forthcoming venture with Mateela Films (Zinda Bhaag) as the
producers.

This is one film we cannot wait for!

I am a huge movie buff something that baffles me is a non existent cinema culture in my own country Pakistan. Well I’m glad that now with the passage of time we see great growth in our film industry. But what’s the point of the growth when people don’t know about it? Well that’s where I come in. Being the social media manager I want to make sure that this growth is well documented and that everyone knows about what’s happening on the Lollywood scene and hence I’m the one behind the crazy Instagram page and Twitter hashtags :)Email: [email protected]
