However, until we have some official box-office tracking system in Pakistan this is all we have got. The numbers are also revised at times and hence you may observe fluctuations.
Eid holidays of three days ended on an auspicious note for ‘Yalghaar’ and ‘Mehrunisa V Lub U’, as both films emerge as winners on the box office.
The third day of Eid remained relatively less buzzy than Day 2. Both films saw a drop on Day 3, as it was expected on the last public holiday. But, despite a nominal fall, both films held their positions steadily and continued to run houseful in cinemas across the country.
Mehrunisa V Lub U
‘Mehrunisa V Lub U’, which saw stupendous growth of 60% on Day 2, dropped by just 20% on last holiday. The film raked in approximately 1.4 crore on Day 3, taking its three day collections to 4.25 crore. This is really impressive for the film facing a cut-throat competition with more popular movie ‘Yalghaar’.
Here is the breakdown of three-day collections of ‘Mehrunisa V Lub U’.
- Day 1 (Monday): 1.10 crore
- Day 2 (Tuesday): 1.75 crore
- Day 3 (Wednesday): 1.40 crore
- Total: 4.25 crore approx.
Yalghaar
Yalghaar held a strong position since the get-go and same is true for the third day as well. The film added approximately 2.20 crore on Day 3, with a very minor drop of just 10%. It brings its three day collections to whopping 6.35 crore. The film emerges as a winner on Eid, leaving behind the other release by a huge margin (~35%).
Here is the breakdown of three-day collections of ‘Yalghaar’.
- Day 1 (Monday): 1.75 crore
- Day 2 (Tuesday): 2.40 crore
- Day 3 (Wednesday): 2.20 crore

The Eid holidays are over and the next two days will be slower for the films. The real test will come in coming weekend and the week following it. We are hearing about both films doing well on Thursday as well, despite its a working day and sporadic rains are falling across the country.
All the best to both films! 🙂
