After a prosperous super-extended Eid week of eleven days, the second weekend did not elongate these festivities and ended on a rather bleak note.
Both ‘Yalghaar’ and ‘Mehrunisa V Lub U’ opened well on Monday, Eid holidays boosted the numbers, the weekend continued to bring in good money, and the films did considerably well on the weekdays too.
However, come the second weekend and the box office for both the films fizzled out. Although it was expected that the numbers wouldn’t be particularly encouraging given that ‘Mom’ and ‘Spiderman’ were releasing but the numbers that have come out are particularly disappointing. It was expected that the weekend numbers would be slightly higher than the weekday numbers but unfortunately, the numbers of the second weekend are just at par and slightly lower than the weekday.

‘Yalghaar’ raked in 13.8 crore in its eleven days extended Eid week and added 1.35 crore with the second weekend. The film has a total box office collection of 15.15 crore
