The Eid festivities are far over for ‘Yalghaar’ and ‘Mehrunisa V Lub U’, as both films are reaching the finish line by the end of the second week.
The 11 days extended Eid week proved to be quite prosperous for both films. They performed brilliantly on Eid holidays and held their positions strongly on the first weekend. The films slowed down nominally on the following weekdays, as it was expected after Eid festivities. However, the second week decelerated them rapidly as two new films ‘Mom’ and ‘Spiderman: Homecoming’ joined them in cinemas. The films could not hold up to new releases and performed very poor.
The new releases definitely made a dent on their collections in the second week. And now with coming of the third week, two more films ‘Jagga Jasoos’ and ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ have been released. There is little hope that ‘Yalghaar’ and ‘Mehrunisa V Lub U’ will be able to bear the brunt of all these new entrants. It is safe to say that week three will be conclusive for their businesses!

‘Yalghaar’ raked in 13.8 crore in its eleven days extended Eid week and added approximately 1.9 crore with the second week. The film has a total box office collection of 15.70 crore at the end of week 2.
