‘Maan Jao Naa’ trailer reveals youthful & vibrant rom-com with catchy music

The vibrant and colorful trailer of youth-based rom-com, Maan Jao Naa, is out, and honestly speaking, it looks much better than what we expected after seeing its posters few weeks ago.

Maan Jao Naa is the second film by The Crew Films, the makers of critically acclaimed ‘Dukhtar’. It is pole apart from their first venture, which was a social-issue based movie. But, their taking on romantic comedy seems a clean family entertainer, as far as it looks from the trailer. It can help the film in attracting families and youth both – the winning combo to guarantee box office success.

The highlight of the film is, definitely, German-born Iranian beauty Naaz Norouzi, who is debuting at the cinema after featuring in plethora of fashion world’s leading brands. Naaz is looking stunning in the trailer. Although her accent might be a put-off to language fanatics, but she is giving refreshing vibes to the film. On top of that, she can dance well too. Hopefully, she will be able to win our hearts in the film with her acting skills as well.

From the outlook, Maan Jao Naa seems a story about bunch of fun-loving friends, with a twist of conventional love triangle (or rectangle) in it. But, the trailer does not reveal much about the story and the dynamics of the characters. We surely need to wait to watch the film to get an idea of it.

Another attraction of the film is its catchy music, especially the male-voiced remix of Naheed Akktar’s classic popular song ‘Bijli Bhari Hai’. The original song was filmed on Lollywood’s one of the most famous dancers, Mumtaz, in movie ‘Koshish’. Besides, ‘Rang Laga’ also sounds entertaining and potential party anthem. We are looking forward to the soundtrack to come out soon.

Now, lets talk about few major things which did not impress us much in the trailer. On top of the list is the film’s male lead, Adeel Chauhdry, who sounds too loud and expressionless in parts of the trailer. The film also looks weak in the department of dialogues, the most crucial factor behind success of a comedy movie. (Although, we hope that the special appearance of Ali Gul Pir will make up for it.)

But, its too early to judge. So, we need to keep fingers crossed. As, overall, the trailer has intrigued us sufficiently and it looks a well-made film – much better than other similar rom-coms released in last couple of years and failed miserably.

Lastly, it would be a delight to see 80s national crush, Asif Raza Mir, after long on the silver screen. As his son, Ahad Raza Mir, keeps conquering the hearts on the small screen before debuting at the silver screen in Parwaaz Hai Junoon, we are rooting for the senior enchanter for recreating his magic in Maan Jao Naa.

The film is directed by Aabis Raza and co-written by Asma Nabeel and Ahsan Raza Firdousi. The cast of the film includes Adeel Chaudhary, Naaz Nourozi, Ayaz Sammo, Hajra Yamin, Naeem Haque and Ali Gul Pir. The film will hit cinemas on Feb 2, 2018.
