Here is how you can manage Ayesha Omar’s healthy lifestyle, in a budget

Ayesha Omar lifestyle

Everyone has known Ayesha Omar to be the ultimate style diva. Not many, however, know that our Tutti Frutti actress is a fitness freak as well. At home or shoots, in Pakistan or abroad, from the looks of her Instagram, it seems as if Ayesha maintains a strict health and lifestyle regime.

Now we all can’t possibly follow Ayesha cent percent in her regime as that would end up costing us an arm and leg, but take a deeper look into what is publicly available of her lifestyle and try to pick up the core theme behind it. You will soon realise that you too can actually manage all of that in your life, and that too within your means.

Still not sure how? Let us tell you how you can pull off Ayesha Omar’s healthy lifestyle, in budget.

Add Greens to Your Diet

As Ayesha says in her own words “The trick to staying fit is to keep feeding your body but with good quality healthy food.”

Now we may not be able to eat fancy salads like Ayesha does, but home cooked meals which include more vegetables rather than meat can bring the same quality in our food that Ayesha professes. It is all about maintaining a balance, and you don’t have to spend thousands of rupees to achieve that.

Visit your local vegetable shop early in the morning, pick your own fresh palak or better, one of the seasonal vegetables, stirr up some daal perhaps when you are bored with veges, and voila, you have your own healthy food at the table.

Adding fruits and vegetables is a perfect foundation for starting a healthy routine. Vegetables, like leafy greens and fruits contain plentiful amounts of nutrients such as vitamins and antioxidants that help boost your immune system.

This doesn’t mean you can’t have meat for the rest of your life, no! Your body needs all, but us desis have the tendency to get carried away. When we eat meat we are eating it five days a week, three times a day, and that’s where the problem starts. We know vegetables and lentils can get boring at times, but it is all about satisfying your taste buds, so instead of surrendering to unhealthy food, invest time on recipes available online and keep surprising your taste buds all the time.

If Ayesha doesn’t convince you, listen to World Health Organization (WHO), which recommends eating fruits and veggies as a regular part of your diet.

Include Healthy Liquids

Now detox juices have been all the rage in the past few years, but seeing that it may not be feasible or affordable for many, it is also recommended to make your own fresh juices using seasonal fruits.

Now, is that really too hard? Most of these detox juices are primarily a combination of fresh juices of different fruits. All you have to do is buy oranges, add some pomegranate perhaps, some honey, and you are set.

If peeling them seems like a big deal, peel your fruits while watching your favourite eight O’ clock drama serial, or your nine O’ clock bulletin, peel them all at once, keep them refrigerated, and juice them out whenever you want.

If you want to spice things up by trying different combinations of fruits, but are not confident about it, check out the list of ingredients that Juice Pressery has shared on its Facebook page, and try out what works for you, or perhaps a different combination every day.

Cut off the Junk

Since human lifestyles have evolved and food production has advanced, processed and junk food have seen rapid growth and popularity. While they do a great job at satisfying our tongue, the biggest torture one can do on their body is by living on these foods.

And us desis have no comparison or shortage when it comes to scrumptious junk food. We conduct parties; specially when kids are involved, where the entire menu is bun kababs, gol gappay, Chana Chaats, hot dogs, nuggets, and what not. We know it’s tempting and easy, but not only is it unhealthy in short-term, it can also lead to an increased risk of obesity, and other chronic health conditions.

Instead of indulging in processed food, we could make do with the same by making the same meals at home which would be more suitable to our bodies and taste buds. For example, it’s better off replacing fried chicken with grilled and using fresh vegetables to complement it instead of french fries.

And hey, although it is hard to not give in to cravings, but sweets, chocolates, and snacks would also have to be replaced with dry fruits and nuts.

Bring Physical Activity

So those two legs that you got there, yeah, they need to move. And like on daily basis! Now what this means is that you need to bring some sort of physical activity in your life. For Ayesha Omar it may be cycling and if you can manage that, cool.

But neither are our roads and cities built that way, nor there exists widespread culture. Therefore, your physical activity can range from swimming to cycling to taking a stroll in the park.

You don’t have to make a big deal about it, start managing it in your own comfort. Walk in your own house from one point to another. From your room to TV lounge perhaps. Or simply count the stairs in your house, turn it into a daily regime to walk up and down on those stairs twice and thrice a day and slowly and gradually build a habbit of it. If you already walk up and down on those stairs thrice a day, great job, now look towards improving that number.

Any activity which provides an energetic aura can be included in this prism of exercise and physical activity.

Care for your Mental Health

The most important aspect of maintaining a healthy lifestyle is to care for your mental health. Unlike Ayesha, you don’t necessarily need to visit exotic beaches or Bosphorus sea for that, it’s the little things that can help you attain that nirvana.

A dinner or a movie with your loved one or a trip to another city or even a long drive would help you de-stress. Wake up tomorrow and figure out what’s your biggest worry of the day? Then, figure out that had that worry not been in your life, what would you have rather done to enjoy your day. Try to accommodate that part in your life. Don’t let your weekends go to waste.

Listen to good music, if the budget allows, perhaps try the retail therapy, or simply get a good massage. Just try to not surrender to your daily issues and seek happiness in little things. Look at that picture of Ayesha sitting on the beach, pop in an earphone, play the song you enjoy, and imagine yourself doing just what she is doing even when you are performing some of the most laborious tasks. It’s all in the head, and believe us, it will help.
