Renowned director and actor Javed Fazil died under mysterious circumstances in Karachi on Wednesday. His body was being shifted to Lahore till filing of this report. He was 64.
As per details, Javed Fazil, a citizen of Lahore, had been shifted to Karachi some months back. He had left Pakistan film Industry after the industry collapsed. His close relatives said Javed was directing different dramas. He was residing in a rented flat in Karachi as his family including three sons (two in abroad) and one daughter and spouse are living in Lahore. They said recently he was giving directions to a new drama titled ‘Aurat Ka Ghar Konsa’ in Karachi.
According to them, the veteran director also worked in India where he produced dozens of famous movies. It is to noted here that Javed Fazil had directed the famous film Bulandi and introduced two living legends of the Pakistan film industry including Shan and Reema.
Moreover, the films, which gained worldwide fame including ‘Hum Se Hai Zamana’, ‘Saima’, ‘Goonj’, ‘Zid’, and dramas including ‘Ghar Galian Rastay’, ‘Iqra’. Fazil, who promoted young talent, never compromised on his principles and gave quality films and dramas.
