The Lahore High Court (LHC), on Monday, issued notice to film actress Meera on a petition by her self-claimed husband, Attiqur Rehman, who had challenged order of a civil court that had dismissed his application asking for Meera’s medical examination to counter her claim of virginity. The LHC also restrained the civil court from giving decision over the marriage suit filed by Meera against Rehman. The court adjourned further hearing of the petition till June 29.
According to details, Rehman had earlier claimed that Meera had married him but was not accepting him as husband. In reply to Rehman’s claim, Meera had filed a civil suit in which she accused him of preparing a fake nikahnama (marriage certificate) only to grab her property.
Meera claimed that she had no relation with Rehman but he was blackmailing her by claiming to be her husband.
