Returning to the entertainment world after almost fifteen years and getting two mega films in a row at the time when Pakistan film industry is not at its height surely speaks for the value that actor has in the industry.
After giving a widely appreciated performance in her debut super-hit film Bol; Zaib Rehman will now be seen in her forthcoming social/drama film The Dusk.
Sharing the news with Galaxy Lollywood, producer of the film Wajahat Abbas Kazmi said, “Although we had already struck a deal with Shabana Azmi for the film but it somehow didn’t workout the way we planned it and thus obviously one had to replace her, so we approached ‘Zaib Ji’ and after having a look at the script she finally accepted our offer”.
Talking about the role of Zaib in the film, Wajahat said, “She basically has a cameo appearance but that whole appearance will be of a great significance in the film and I guess it will be one of the impact leaving appearances in the movie and people will surely appreciate her performance again.”
In a further chit-chat, Wajahat also disclosed that Zaib’s main focus was the film script and the role that his team had to offer her; this basically speaks for actress’s long break of fifteen years from the showbiz world and then returning only with two of the mega projects of Pakistan film industry.
When asked about the release of the film, Wajahat told us that almost 90% of the work is now complete and that it will take few more days to shoot the work of Zaib Rehman while director Z-Shan Kazmi is also working on the two additional songs and as soon as this shooting work is all wrapped up, he will go for the full fledge promotion of the film. “Movie is basically planned to release on this coming Eid-ul-Adha but although we are trying our level best to make it as it was previously planned, there are some issues that might put some hindrance, so if this happens then 25th of December this year will be our next and final release date for the film,” said Wajahat sharing the release details of the movie.
Keeping in mind mostly the negative public reaction on the news of Shabana Azmi’s inclusion in The Dusk, we believe replacing her with Zaib Rehman is a wise decision by the production team of the film and the performance of the actress will also be hopefully appreciated by the Public.
