Sanam Marvi; who came in lime light after her soulful performances on the Pakistani music TV series ‘Coke Studio’, has just recorded her first song as a play back singer for a film.
The upcoming film Ishq Khuda starring Shaan Shahid and Bol famed Humaima Malick is the one in which Marvi has sung the song. Composed by Wajahat Attre and written by Ryazur Rehman Sagar, the Item number is stated to be a ‘trend setter’ for film industry by film’s director Shehzad Rafique.
It would be interesting to see Marvi who is basically a ‘Sufi’ singer, singing an ‘Item song’ for a movie that is again said to be a Sufi-Drama film in genre — Not really a kind of movies suiting item songs. But yet it would be surprising to see how this whole combination finally comes out.
It is also worth mentioning here that famous TV actor Ahsan Khan who has worked in couple of films in past as well, will also be seen playing an important character in the movie.
Talking about her item song, Marvi who has already got many TV serial title tracks to her credits, said, “Ishq Khuda is my first film as a play back singer and I feel glad that I am beginning with a song that is composed by Wajahat Attre and written by Ryazur Rehman Sagar.”
“I have put my full efforts in this particular song as I wanted to satisfy all the expectations that are attached to me,” said Marvi further.
Having films like Salakhain and Mohabbatan Sachiyan to his portfolio, Shehzad Rafique’s this directorial venture is expected to hit cinemas next year and will most probably be Shaan’s first Urdu film in year 2012 and Humaima Malick’s second project on silver screen after 2011 super hit film Bol.
