Adnan Siddiqui lands on local film industry with DMS Boots

In 2007 when he starred in the Hollywood film A Might Heart along with Angelina Jolie, it sure hit many of us as a pleasant surprise. The role, though, wasn’t that amongst the film’s leading ones, but it certainly had its significance to the story and a share of pride for us.

Adnan Siddiqui with Angelina Jolie (A Mighty Heart)

There is no doubt Adnan Siddiqui is one of the well sorted out faces available in the current acting pool of the country, but it was perhaps about time that we see him doing something bigger, something other than the usual 8 PM daily or weekend slot, something other than small screen, something that would have a larger shelf life. Adnan felt that need too, and so did Dr. Hassan Waqas Rana, who recently had him cast in his upcoming film, Yalgaar, otherwise known as, Delta.Echo.Foxtrot.

Yes it’s the same film that already has Shaan and Humyun Saeed combo in it, it’s the same film that will see Ayesha Omer and Sana Bucha duo in action and yes it’s the same film that is being tagged as the biggest ever production of Pakistan film industry.

The script of which is being collaboratively penned by Shaan and Dr. Rana, Yalgaar, will deal with the plot based on the ongoing War on Terrorism and is said to be being shot in Pakistan’s strategically active western borders among other numerous locations.

Adnan, in the film, will aptly be seen playing the role of an Army officer, one amongst many putting the country ahead of their own lives.

The cast blend after Adnan’s inclusion sure becomes an interesting one. One other reason to look out for the film. Yalgaar is anticipated to be in cinemas by the winters 2014. An ARY film, this one of Mindwork’s Media’s projects is being directed by Dr. Hassan Waqas Rana himself.
