Pakistan Film Industry stands behind Operation Zarb-e-Azb

A film industry is a warrior within itself, it wages war against the foreign cultural invasion in any society and fights for your right to your own mannerisms, ethics and ethos. But the film industry is not in itself a thinking-being, it’s actually the intellectual cadre of this structure that makes it one such warrior.

Pakistan film industry with its reshaped identity is also lucky to have its own share of people who keep a certain vision for the local culture, homegrown stories and also the society on whole.

The bigger war, however, has started in the country; the war against insecurity, oppression and terrorism. The troops as always are there in the battlefield fighting this war for us, the entire military machine of Pakistan Armed Forces is at their disposal as a supplementary support. But no war, big or small, can be won if the people of that country are not in support of it. Luckily for us, it seems like the entire country is at the back of Pakistan Army in this critical hour, and Pakistan film industry in no way seems to be behind anyone in this struggle support.

Shaan on the set of his film Waar, where he played the role of Major Mujtaba.

Who doesn’t know about Shaan’s highly expressive, widely recognised love for the country. The actor many times has even faced criticism for it as well, a part of society also thinks of him as a Pseudo-patriot, but he never shies away from speaking his heart out in support for his nationalism. With the recent commencement of military offensive in North Waziristan Agency(NWA), he spoke once again. In the message posted on his official Facebook page, Shaan had following to say on Army’s Operation Zarb-e-Azb.

Shahzad Nawaz of Chambaili is also another film identity who has been hailing the Army operation in NWA and giving it his full support through his words and other means.

Probably the most vocal one among others, Shahzad has been running an active support campaign on social media these days for the on-going operation against militant elements in North Waziristan.

The feature image that you see at the top of this article and this image on the right side is also one of  the uploads on his official twitter handle in the same regard.

The actor in the latest of his support uploaded the song attached below, named Khaki–the colour of service uniform of Pakistan Army, with his own vocals rendered to it.

Interesting Fact: Shahzad, who has his basic roots from the district of Chakwal, hails from a complete military family and is said to be the only one in the family in a non-military profession.

This support base to the armed forces of the country is not only limited to the bigwigs of the industry, but stretches equally towards the fresh lot too, the most prominent example being Hamza Ali Abbasi, who has been commenting actively about the operation on his official Facebook page. The following should support that:

Interesting Fact: Hamza Ali Abbasi prior to his hand at acting cleared the country’s civil services examination and even served some time in Police Academy as a trainee.

This whole root for the military is of course not only confined to the three examples above, many more including, Bilal Lashari, Ahsan Khan and Omair Rana are also playing their part in strengthening the hands of troops in fight, and so should we, if we want this menace to be defeated once and for all.

We at Galaxy Lollywood support Operation Zarb e Azb! Do you?
