The year 2013 in Pakistan film industry is majorly known for three big films, Waar, Main Hoon Shahid Afridi and Chambaili. While Main Hoon Shahid Afridi was pretty swift on its reach to public; the most recent example of that being its TV premiere on Eid, Waar and Chambaili took their time and have comparatively tested the anxiety of fans a little more, the latter specially.
While Waar has travelled a good deal abroad, Chambaili has merely screened in U.K outside Pakistan, besides, of course being screened in variety of film festivals. The major reason for this slow public reach-out, as revealed by Shahzad Nawaz in his recent interview with Galaxy Lollywood, is Geo Films’ failure as the international distributors of Chambaili. “…they failed as our distributors abroad…so we bought those rights back from Geo films, and released it in UK on our own.” Shahzad said asnwering a particular question in the interview.

The U.K release was definitely a good relief for Chambaili’s fans there, and now comes another update on the same lines. Chambaili is currently in USA, in Dallas, Texas to be more specific, and the movie is scheduled to be screened in the ‘Funasia Richardson Theatre’ today, the 9th August, and tomorrow, the 10th. So all those with the reach there in Dallas, waiting to watch Chambaili, should definitely grab this chance and enjoy this great film from Pakistan.
Another good news, and a big one comes from the camp of Waar. The news is; and a good chance is that you have already caught its promotion on TV, that Waar, the biggest Pakistani release ever, is now finally coming on your TV screens.
Yes, Waar is pretty much done with its Cinema journey all over the globe, and now ARY Films, the worldwide distributors of Waar, have decided to give the film its World TV Premiere, which is to happen on the eve of Independence Day (14 August) this year on ARY Entertainment. The time is 8 PM, and the date is special, so prioritize your activities that day, and if you were somehow unfortunate to catch the film during its long cinema journey, reserve your 14 August exclusively for Waar post 8 PM.
