Looks like ARY Films has taken upon itself to make sure that 2015 turns out to be an eventful year for Pakistani Cinema. First they released the feature film Jalaibee which has been a box office hit , then they released the trailer of “3 Bahadur” which is all set to release on May 22 and now they are all set to introduce their next feature film “Jawani Phir Nahi Ani”.
To introduce the film and build up some hype ARY Films first released the official poster of this eagerly awaited film and then released the teaser trailer which gave the audiences a sneak peak into this star studded film. Directed by Nadeem Baig the film has a stellar ensemble cast including Humayun Saeed, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ahmed Ali Butt, Vasay Chaudhary, Aisha Khan, Sarwat Gillani, Mehwish Hayat, Sohai Ali Abro, Javed Sheikh, Bushra Ansari,Zainab Qayum and Ismail Tara. The film has been produced by Salman Iqbal, Humayun Saeed, Mohammad Jerjees Seja and Shahzad Nasib and is all set to release on Eid Ul Azha.
Coming to the teaser, well as the title of this post says, the teaser is Hot Hot Hot! I mean when you have a shirtless Hamza Ali Abbassi in the very first frame itself its pretty much established that the film is going to be easy on the eyes. Furthermore what we can tell from the teaser is that the film boasts of picturesque locations, good music and wholesome entertainment a combination that Pakistani films really need! And seeing the previous film produced by the Shahzad Nasib, Humayun Saeed jodi (Main Hoon Shahid Afridi) looks like this film will also not disappoint. The only thing that we did not like was how the teaser did not feature any of the hot ladies except for Mehwish Hayat. Well maybe the official trailer will give us glimpses of the leading ladies.
Till then you enjoy the teaser. Here it is! Check it out and let us know what you think of it?
So it’s ok for a girl to be objectified in films but not in real life?
I have also been subjected tot he frequent appearances of the trailer on ARY,, obviously this is their venture and so free airtime. Living abroad, watching Urdu plays is our way of keeping in touch with Pak society, Urdu language and culture as well as family time with wife.
My objective was also to engage my own children, but what kind of an cultural orientation is our media providing today. It is all a ranking game and all values, morals and standards are cast aside to go up. INterstingly those same channels whose morning show hosts and guests sing and gyrate Indian songs were the day before uber patriotic. Man as Pakis abroad we try and present a fairly pure Paki image to our friends, but sadly our media is India mad. Forgetting very much that it was the opposite that created a niche for their plays. Solid believable stories, realistic dialogues and rich scripts, coupled with natural acting paved hte way for Pak drama.
We so enjoy watching them but when they start tilting Bollywood, it is totally disgusting. I thought Sanam Jung was a more enlightened talk show host but she too is teeing the line, with her 40 something guests trying to act glamorous, and stylish…. sadly not quite making the sophisticated rank
I do not encourage my girls to watch even the morning shows this happened the day I heard her asking her guests about their first crush and another heartthrob about his girlfriend.
DAMN… this is the very thing us dwellers in the West try to explain to our kids, that is not something WE do, rather we have to follow our Islamic culture…. and the Westerners do appreciate and accommodate us if we show them through our belief and conduct
Mind you I am a very progressive individual, not your mullah but one who attempted to imbibe all things positive about the cultures of the world, and fashion my family life around values and morals and it pains me so to see all this.
Even the majority of traditional plays show Paki woman in only same stereotype, saas hates bahu, bahu is scheming to disrupt family, the other woman is on the prowl… and there is as if only one thing in Pakistan… all plays are love stories…
Tanhaiyan, Dhoop Kinarey, Parchhaiyyan, Ankahi, Jhok Siyaal, Waaris, some of the most memorabl;e play that are still a delight to watch, all had love, but they were interwoven intot he story, did not constitute the story.
If we even look at the more recent plays that have had a lasting affect like Humsafar, Shehre Zaat, Mere Mehrbaan, Zindagi Gulzaar hae… these were stories with substance and morals. They were honest and did not succumb to commericial stereotypes or Bollywood for success. Most important for me they taught the respect for women folk and the values they embody, of sharm, haya and waqqar, not stooping low to sell themselves
Now back to this movie, my question is which Pakistan does this represent, the .05% which are blatant hedonists, blind to reality around them who go to party in foreign shores and spend millions in lavish weddings that will be anyways forgotten till the next big one. While the minions on ths street have no access to basic health and hygienic relying on foreign aid from kafirs like Bill Gates.
Sad is the state of Affairs with the muslim Ummah, we have completely forgotten that the only certain destiny of all life is death and the fact that we will then rise in the Almighty’s court and answer for all our deeds. MAKE AN IMPACT PEOPLE, MAKE A DIFFERENCE
