Box Office Update: “Jawani Phir Nai Ani” has a record-smashing first weekend

The film ‘Jawani Phir Nahi Ani’ was expected to take a great start at the box office, but the mayhem that is being witnessed all over Pakistan is just crazy. The film received a tremendous response on its first weekend which is coincided with Eid al Azha. The film created new records by scoring highest first day collections (Friday), highest Saturday collections, highest Sunday collections and highest first weekend collections.

The film opened to limited previews on Thursday, a night before Eid, and scored 0.38 crore which is also the highest collection for single-day previews. The film scored 2.07 crore on the first day of Eid (Friday) breaking the record of highest first day collections previously owned by Fast and Furious 7 (2015).

The film witnessed spectacular rise in the trend as it scored 2.68 crore and 2.70 crore on second and third days of release respectively. Combining first weekend collections, which are 7.83 crore, Jawani Phir Nai Ani has made the record of highest first weekend collections.

  • Thursday (Previews):    0.38 crore
  • Friday (Day 1):             2.07 crore
  • Saturday (Day 2):        2.68 crore
  • Sunday (Day 3):          2.70 crore
  • Total:                          7.83 crore

Jawani Phir Nai Ani is on the roll and is expected to reach 10 crore mark in its first week of release. Let us wait and see which other records the film is ought to break or make in the coming days.
