Humayun Saeed is unstoppable. After performing in two blockbuster films, Bin Roye and Jawani Phir Nai Ani, this year and doing cameos in other twos, Manto and Dekh Magar Pyaar Say, Saeed has already embarked on the journey of another eventful and successful year.
The actor/producer is part of the ensemble cast of eagerly awaited war action drama Yalghaar releasing next year and he has also roped in by Mahesh Butt for a film, Dushman, in Bollywood. But, he is not committed to the silver screen only as the handsome actor is returning to the small screen after a hiatus of four years in a TV serial Dillagi. Previously, he appeared in ARY Digital’s Kafir along with Ayesha Khan in 2011.
“Dillagi is going to be produced by Humayun [Saeed]’s own production house Six Sigma Plus. Fans can rejoice as Humayun’s leading co-actor in the serial will be Mehwish Hayat. The duo was last seen collaborating in Jawani Phir Nahin Ani where they were both praised for their on-screen pairing and presence.” says the official press release announcing the news of Saeed’s next TV venture.
Saeed is not only reuniting with Hayat in the serial but he will also be working again under the aegis of Nadeem Baig, the director of his home production and record smashing hit Jawani Phir Nai Ani. Nadeem Baig is the name behind many hit TV serials including the cult hit Pyaray Afzal staring Hamza Ali Abbasi and Ayeza Khan.
The script of Dillagi is penned by digest writer turned drama writer Faiza Iftikhar. Faiza Iftikhar has become a household name after writing scripts of many popular serials most notably Aik Nayee Cinderella, Bilqees Kaur and Aun Zaara.
Speaking about why he chose Dillagi as his comeback project, Humayun stated “It is one of the best scripts I have come across in a very long time. Faiza Iftikhar has written it very well; in fact it wouldn’t be wrong to say this is one of her best works till date. Then of course Nadeem is directing it. I have always preferred to do projects that have very well put together teams, which is why Dillagi felt like the perfect serial to do after a break of 4 years”.

Dillagi might not be the only serial the viewers will get a chance to see Humayun Saeed on TV next year as the TV version of film Bin Roye, based on the novel ‘Bin Roye Ansoo’ by Farhat Ishtiaq, is also lined up to be on-aired some time next year by HUM TV.
