Aamir Liaquat to romance Saima in Syed Noor’s next?

You may simply be thrilled to hear the news or you maybe wishing, ‘Oh God! Let this be a satire piece, let this not be real.’ But it’s happening, for real, at least as per Syed Noor.

Yes, Aamir Liaquat Hussain, the famous (or infamous) TV host – depends on which part of his television career highlight you are a fan of, is now going to come as hero on silver screen, in a Syed Noor film, against Saima.

Aamir Liaquat has no doubt made a name for himself, be it his political affiliation or as the host of his religious show, or for several other reasons, but the name undoubtedly carries a huge fan following. Combine that with the scholarly aspect of his life, and Syed Noor had the perfect male lead for his untitled next project.

Here is what Syed Noor said to Dawn.com on his selection of Aamir for his film, “Aamir Liaquat is the best fit for the role… His knowledge is vast, and he has an impressive personality.

Noor further said that he had written the script years back and wanted it to be something different from the love story that Majajan was, for which it was challenging to find male lead who could fit to the role like hands in gloves, “One day I was watching Amir Liaquat on TV. I was highly impressed by the way he carried the show and handled the audience. I decided that I will convince him some time to act in my movie.” Aamir will play a scholar in the film.

Noor, moreover, said, “When I met him one day, I narrated the story to him. He listened carefully and smiled. He praised the script and its great message and agreed to do the film. I hope that our journey will become a milestone in our respective careers and become a source of great value to the film industry, its audience and Muslims all over the world.”

Promising that it will be an entirely different kind of a film from what is currently being attempted in Subcontinent, he also revealed that it will be a romantic film and Saima will play the love interest of Aamir Liaquat in it.

Planned to be shot in Pakistan and other foreign locales, the film will hit cinemas in 2017.
