We are sure you have been hearing about the Eid clash where three Pakistani films are all set to fight each other at the box office. Moreover there has also been talk about Bollywood films releasing before and after the Eid week which will give the local releases a tough time. However did you know that a total of 22 films which include Hollywood biggies, Bollywood favorites and very own local Lollywood flicks are set to release in the coming four weeks! Yes, an average of 5 films will be releasing every friday this month of September in Pakistan. Dont believe us well check out the detailed list below!
*Yes, there are reports of banning Indian films on Eid. But technically since Eid does not fall on a friday there is no direct competition so we dont know how this ban will work.
*Generally 5 films per week is not that big a number for markets like India and the US where the number of films per week usually exceeds five. But for an emerging market like Pakistan these are huge numbers!
*This is a tentative list as censor certificates and distribution deals are yet to be confirmed.
