The first look of Nabeel Qureshi’s ‘Na Maloom Afraad 2’ is super fun!

It was just three years ago when Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza stunned Pakistan with ever perfectly made trailer of comedy riot ‘Na Maloom Afraad’. The film became the talk of the town with just revelation of its eccentric title. But it was the trailer that upped its game and put less known Nabeel and Fizza in the spotlight. The film felt little dragged but it had its moments and exhibited the prowess of its makers fully.

Within next two years the producer-director duo, who shares camaraderie of being co-writers as well, gave social comedy ‘Actor in Law’. The film, immensely better than their first venture, became a roaring success on the box office. Critics pronounced it as one of the finely made films in Pakistan. It starred Bollywood legendary actor Om Puri along with Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat.

Now, just three years after the genesis of Filmwala Pictures, the makers of ‘Na Maloom Afraad’ are turning it into a comedy franchise. The second installment, effortlessly titled as ‘Na Maloom Afraad 2’, is making its way to cinemas on Eid-ul-Azha.

The first look of ‘Na Maloom Afraad 2’ just came out and it looks super fun. The film’s poster features the trio of Javed Sheikh, Fahad Mustafa and Mohsin Abbas Haider, looking crazier and kookier than before.

We have also noticed that shirtless Mohsin Abbas Haider has developed a perfect six-pack. Hmmm…

The peculiar poster with the subtext of a lot of fun gives little sneak peek of what is in store.

We got in touch with Nabeel Qureshi to get some scoop on ‘Na Maloom Afraad 2’. We asked what to expect from the sequel, to which he succinctly replied, “its bigger and better”. Fair enough! We also asked about the trio and he confirmed that “they are the same as in NMA1”. Perfect! Lastly, we asked if they are rich and we got a reply that we had to watch the film for that. Alright!

That’s more than enough to know about the fate of Shakeel Bhai, Farhan and Moon for now. We can wait to get more idea of it until June 21st, when the trailer of the film will be released.

‘Na Maloom Afraad 2’ retains most of the original cast including Urwa Hocane. A new female lead Hania Aamir, of Janaan fame, is added in the line-up. Interestingly, the veteran TV actress Marina Khan is debuting at the silver screen in the sequel. She is playing mother of Hania’s character in the film, as reported by Dawn Images.

‘Na Maloom Afraad 2’ is slated to release on Eid-ul-Azha (September).
