Teri Meri Kahani to Beti
The model-turned-actress made her debut with the drama serial Teri Meri Kahani early last year. She played one of the leads beside Azfar Rehman and Saboor Ali, but her work wasn’t appreciated much.
Although in Teri Meri Kahani she was constantly being overshadowed by Saboor’s impeccable acting, but boy has she made a comeback. Saheefa’s recent work has been Beti for ARY Digital, in which she plays the lead, Maryam.
Among the big names like Javaid Sheikh and Asma Abbas in the serial, Saheefa has been successful in making a mark for herself. The drama revolves around the taboo in some circles of our society of giving birth to a daughter.
Much different than the role she played in her last serial, Saheefa can be seen playing the role of a university student who marries her colleague Azhar (played by Fahad Mirza). Post-marriage, she is forced to live on the terms of Azhar’s family and bear their twisted beliefs.
Though Maryam complies with everything, she is disgusted by the bigoted beliefs and upon learning that she is going to have a daughter herself, decides to break the taboo running in the family.

With the challenging role of playing a young mother who is overcoming the hardships, of first giving birth to and then raise her daughter, Saheefa has been victorious in winning the hearts of her audience. With her amazing expressions and the way she portrays the strength of motherhood, the actress has paved a path for herself in the drama industry.
In an interview right after her marriage, Saheefa stated that she didn’t belong in the kitchen, and we gladly agree with her. Saheefa Jabbar Khattak clearly belongs on our TV screens.
