It is always exciting news when a Pakistani drama features a fresh new pairing. Not only does it give the audience something different to look forward to, the anticipation of what kind of chemistry and energy a fresh new pairing will bring is also quite welcome. And when the fresh pairing is coming from a duo of producers who have given Pakistani dramas some memorable pairings in the recent past, the excitement reaches a new high.
Imran Abbas and Urwa Hocane have been confirmed to star in an upcoming drama. Produced by Sana Shahnawaz and Samina Humayun Saeed, the drama is titled Amanat and is said to be a romantic drama.
Beautiful story
Galaxy Lollywood reached out to producer Sana Shahnawaz to get some details about this upcoming project. Talking about the genre of the drama, Sana said that the drama is going to have a romance but it cannot be called an out and out love story.
“Amanat is a romantic family drama. It is a very beautiful and interesting story with its own twists and turns. It is not just a love story as it has many other significant elements to it as well. It is not an unusual story but it is definitely something hatke.“
Sana also talked about how as a producer she strives to present content that gives the audience something different to enjoy. And Amanat is not going to be an exception to that ideology.
Fresh pairing
The cast of the drama includes names like Saboor Aly, Gohar Rasheed, Asad Siddiqui, Haroon Shahid, Saba Hameed, Babar Ali, and many others. This is the first time Imran Abbas and Urwa Hocane have been paired opposite each other for a project. The audience will be seeing a fresh new jodi in Amanat. Sana Shahnawaz was positively hopeful that they will receive positive reactions from the audience just like their previous ventures.
“Hamza Ali Abbasi and Maya Ali in Mann Mayal, Hira Mani and Affan Waheed in Do Bol, Hamza and Sajal Aly in Alif, even Yasir Nawaz and Neelam Muneer in Dil Mom Ka Diya; they were all completely fresh pairings and the audiences loved them. We are hoping that the Imran Abbas-Urwa Hocane pairing will give the audience something new to enjoy.”
Written by Rukhsana Nigar and directed by Shahid Shafaat, Amanat is set to start shooting very soon and will be airing in 2021.
