Rumours have been rife that superstar musician, Atif Aslam, has signed a television show. There was speculation around what channel he would choose and who he will be pairing up with. However, the ‘Hona Tha Pyar’ singer cleared the reports in his recent interview with BBC Asian Network.
Atif Aslam has been part of one movie, ‘Bol’ in 2011, after which he focused more on his singing career and rose to the pinnacle. When asked about his acting career, he jokingly said: “I don’t think I am handsome enough.”
He added: “I’ve always ignored it but I’ve always said that if I find the right script, then I would do it. People might be able to see me on television, delivering dialogues.”
He later spoke about his experience of working with Mahira Khan in the movie, which also happened to be her debut film. He stated: “Mahira is lovely and a brilliant artist. She always calls me her pehla hero.”
He also revealed that she will be featuring in his next music video, which will come out this year. It will be exciting for their fans to see them together again after 10 years.
Atif Aslam’s last music video ‘Rafta Rafta’ has garnered over 7 million views. He thanked all those who have seen the video, liked and commented on it. He also expressed his delight at working with Sajal Aly, while thanking her for being part of the video: “She’s a very professional actress and a nice person to work with. I have no doubts that she has a great future ahead.”
