Pakistani singers and actors are blessed with talent and there is no denial in that. It is not unheard of to see the collaboration and exchange of talent between the world of singing and acting. Many of our actors have made their debut in singing and vice versa, case in point Asim Azhar, Atif Aslam, and Junaid Khan among others.
Galaxy presents you with a list of eight singers who we are sure will do wonders on television as actors. Here are eight singers whom we wish make their debut on television:
Aima Baig
Aima Baig gives us the girl-next-door vibe. She is beautiful, she is charming, and she knows how to perform on screen. The singer has impressed us with her presence in her music videos, whether it is with a fellow performer, case in point ‘Na Cher Malangaan Nu’ ft. Farhan Saeed or her solo performance in her latest music video ‘Pyar Hua Tha’.
Hassan Raheem
The new kid on the block knows how to groove and win his viewers’ hearts. We have seen several shades of the singer in his music videos. In one of his music videos ‘Joona’ he is low key dancing to a song in a supermarket by himself while in another music video of his, he is inside a bathtub, singing his heart out. There is diversity, creativity, and potential which we hope to see on television.
Momina Mustehsan
Remember the girl who became an overnight sensation after her song ‘Afreen Afreen’ of Coke Studio was released with the legend Rahat Fateh Ali Khan? Momina Mustehsan has retained a similar charm and innocence even six years down the line after her first song debut. She has given us many music pieces to groove on after that and we would love to see her take on an acting project.
Shae Gill
Another Coke Studio debut, Shae Gill won hearts both nationally and internationally after her hit song ‘Pasoori’ with Ali Sethi got released. She is down-to-earth, easy going, and loves to experiment with her choice of music and her collaborations with different artists. We are certain she can bring the same energy when it comes to acting.
Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch
Whether it’s the rendition of the sad song ‘Humsafar’ or an energetic piece that will lift your mood such as ‘Sammi Meri Waar’, QB always knocks it out of the park with her soulful and deep voice. QB is a powerful performer and has a great screen presence. We can only imagine what she can do with her talent if she takes on acting jobs, but one thing is for certain: she will create magic.
Kaifi Khalil:
Currently, the nation’s beloved singer, Kaifi Khalil came, and he conquered. Kaifi came to the limelight after his debut in Coke Studio song ‘Kana Yaari’. Later he released his first solo ‘Kahani Suno’ which garnered millions of views and topped Spotify charts in Pakistan. Undoubtedly, he has the charm to command the screen and we hope to see him do so soon.
Bilal Saeed:
Singer of hit songs like ‘Lambiya Judaiyan’ and ‘Bari’, Bilal Saeed knows how to ace any song and how to perfectly sing any lyrics. He has given us several hits and has added more flavour to Punjabi songs, giving us more variety to choose from. He has a unique personality which will certainly shine more on television.
