The Ramzan hit drama serial Fairytale will be returning on-screen for a second season after receiving a heartwarming response from the audience. HUM TV announced Fairytale’s season 2 on Eid by releasing a cover of the drama’s OST by its cast, although the release date of the second season is still under wraps.
The original OST was sung by Sibtain Khalid, Adrian David, and Nish Asher and composed by Adrian David Emmanuel. The lyrics were penned down by Sibtain Khalid and Adrian David.
Hamza Sohail Will be Back as Farjad
Perhaps the most important revelation in the new OST is that Hamza Sohail will be back as Farjad in Fairytale S2.
As previously reported by us, Hamza Sohail and the team behind Fairytale had issues during the negotiation process, and it wasn’t clear whether Sohail would be part of season 2. The details have now been ironed out and Hamza Sohail will be back as Farjad in the sequel.

The cover has been sung by Sehar Khan, Hamza Sohail, Adnan Raza Mir, Aena Khan and Tehseen Wajahat. The rendition is a harmonious blend of familiar voices that resonates with the audience and redefines the song for them, giving it a fresher outlook.
The ambiance of the location of the song alongside the chemistry that the actors brought to the screen added magic that Fairytale fans craved to see since the end of season 1.
Sehar Khan and Hamza Sohail were able to hit it out of the park and won the hearts of the fans with their melodious voices. In addition, Adnan Raza Mir and Aena Khan’s poetry in both Urdu and English added an invigorating flavor to the song.
A trip down the memory lane to season 1:
Fairytale’s season 1 was an amalgamation of comedy, romance, family drama, and a social commentary on the obsession with money, the greed to obtain it and the consequences that follow.
Directed by Ali Hassan and written by Sarah Majeed, Fairy Tale follows the story of Umeed (Sehar Khan) who is a young middle-class girl who dreams of living the life of luxury and is trying to find ways to make money quickly. Her life turns around when she wins 20 million rupees in a game show. The story continues from there highlighting the aftermath of negligence and avarice.
We also see two endearing love stories unfold alongside a lot of drama. The cast includes Sehar Khan, Hamza Sohail, Adnan Raza Mir, Aena Khan, Amna Yousaf Zai, Ali Safina, Salma Hassan, Tehseen Wajahat, Saleem Sheukh, Samna Ansar, Hina Rizvi and others.

Season one concluded on a high note thus raising our expectations for the season that follows. Here are our guesses for Fairytale season 2:
Farjad will strive to find the right balance between work and his personal life and will hopefully be less stubborn, allowing life to run its course. While Umeed would finally realize that there is no shortcut to earn money and she finally decides to work hard to earn it. As both Farjad and Umeed work on their weaknesses we hope to see their love story unfold further and Farjad’s mother finally accepts Umeed wholeheartedly.
Sameer and Haya will already be married, and they will continue their lives as a young couple.
Lastly, we have high hopes from our third couple, AK Khan and Mimi whose love story remained incomplete in season 1. We hope they mend their broken hearts in the process of finding their way to each other. That’s all folks. What are your hopes for the upcoming season? Do share with us.
