Fahad Mustafa recently unravelled fascinating insights and dropped hints about a new collaboration at The Shoaib Akhtar Show 2.0 show. He was asked about three female actors from the current generation he’d like to work with in a film, and interestingly, he named Hania Aamir thrice.
Expressing his admiration for Hania, Fahad said, “Because I think, after Mahira (Khan), if there is anyone with star potential, it is Hania.” He praised her hard work and genuine nature, saying, “She’s very good at heart also, and a very effortless actor.”
Shoaib Akhtar, ever the curious host, probed Fahad about working with Hania, to which Fahad humorously replied, “I haven’t yet. I’ve been telling her for many years to grow up a bit, and then we’ll do it. Now she’s grown up, so we will.” Shoaib, playful asked if Fahad was waiting for her to mature, and Fahad jokingly responded, “Yes, I felt she was quite young.”
The suspense continued when Shoaib asked if they were working on something together. Fahad, with a sly smile, teased, “We are doing something together. I don’t kiss and tell. I think once it’s done and out, then you talk about it. But yes, we are about to do something.” When asked if Hania would be in Fahad’s upcoming December release, he playfully responded, “Maybe.”
In Fahad eyes, Hania shines as a talent to reckon with, even drawing a parallel with a loved star like Mahira. While Mahira boasts a vast fan base, Fahad’s focus on Hania’s talent signals a shift in industry dynamics. It remains to be seen how fans will react to this candid comparison.
Speaking about his collaborations with established stars like Mehwish Hayat and Mahira Khan, Fahad emphasised their understanding of the filmmaking process. He shared, “The biggest thing is that they understand the process, they’re disciplined people. They love acting, which is the biggest thing. Like, I’ve done about five to six films with Nabeel (Qureshi). I feel there are far more talented people in this country. But why we end up working together is because we understand the importance of the story of the film.”
Fahad further said that filmmaking is a collective process, where the connection on a storytelling level is crucial. He praised Mehwish and Mahira for bringing their own value without forcing themselves, noting that despite their stardom, they remain unburdened by insecurities.
The revelation about Fahad and Hania working together has sparked mixed reviews among viewers, with some questioning the age difference and others anticipating an interesting on-screen pairing.
This isn’t the first time Fahad and Hania would be collaborating though. They have previously starred in movies like Na Maloom Afraad 2 and Load Wedding, however, they weren’t together in those roles. Hence, it would be different this time. Fahad has also been the producer of dramas starring Hania, including Mujhey Pyaar Hua Tha and Ishqiya. One thing is for sure – we’re eager to see this fresh collaboration unfold.
