The Plot
‘Ijazat,’ directed by Ahmed Bhatti and penned by Faiza Iftikhar, is a story of two individuals who fall in love as they carry the overwhelming burden of their heartbreak.
The trailer of the telefilm dropped today, teasing a tale that begins with HSY’s character reminiscing about lost love, Lina. Mehwish Hayat’s character, resembling HSY’s past flame, sparks a fresh romance, but complications arise. As their connection blooms, Mehwish’s character, Rubab, feels overshadowed. She suspects HSY’s affection stems from her resemblance to his former love and not genuine feelings for her. The trailer tantalizes with questions, as the two central characters go through turmoil and emotional baggage that haunts them.
Mehwish will be playing two roles in this project. As evident from the teasers, we see the actress in two polar opposite appearances, so that’s something to look forward to.
An interesting element that caught our attention was the cover image of the telefilm. The collage with different pictures of Mehwish Hayat and HSY posing together, gave us fun Turkish drama poster vibes. It’s good to see a creative effort put into designing the poster.
