Its confirmed, “Revenge of the Worthless” is releasing on 15 January

The on-going three month hiatus in the local cinema will be filled by the release of at least two films in January next year as Ho Mann Jahaan, releasing on 1st January, will be followed by another movie Revenge of the Worthless.

The Swat counter-insurgency operation based drama Revenge of the Worthless, which had been put off multiple of times before, will finally see the light of release on 15 January, as it is confirmed by the makers of the film on the release of theatrical trailer of the film.

The film is the directorial debut of renowned actor and social activist Jamal Shah, who also runs an art institute Hunarkuda in Islamabad and Lahore. The film is produced by Hunarkuda Films, a subsidiary of Hunerkada College of Visual and Performing Arts, and it is distributed by Summit Entertainment.

The cast of the film has big names of TV industry like, Jamal Shah himself, Firdaus Jamal and Ayub Khoso. The film’s cast also includes Shamyl Khan, Maira Khan and a turkish actress Emel Karakose. Some of the new talent and students from Hunerkada College of Visual and Performing Arts is also working in supporting roles in the film.

The story of the film is set in the backdrop of Swat insurgency of 2009 and subsequent military operation launched to quash the insurgency and restore peace in the valley.
