Pakistan’s first web series, Enaaya came out eight days back. Directed by Wajahat Rauf, the series stars Mehwish Hayat, Azfar Rehman, Asad Siddiqui, and Faryal Mehmood in lead roles.
While most people have no major issues with the series, actor Fahad Mustafa seemed to have some issues with the content (or so we thought).
We presented our two cents on the whole situation and provided a probable history to a probable animosity between Fahad and Wajahat. However, it turns out that the two are on perfectly great terms, or so we have been told.
All is Well
Talking to Galaxy Lollywood, Wajahat Rauf clarified that his cryptic Facebook status from some eight months back had nothing to do with Fahad Mustafa and the people in Ahmed Ali Butt’s Instagram live video. He further added that he had deleted that status afterward and that there is no point bringing it up again. Fair enough!
Moving on, things got even more interesting when Fahad Mustafa tweeted last night that he loves Wajahat Rauf and that his last tweet was not directed at Wajahat’s new web series in any way.
Nudity ,abusive language and just talking about sex is not content .lets not call it freedom of speech ! Actors selling themselves very cheaply its not cool at all .web series and short films needs to be a little dignified or they should just call it porn ..

He further added that his tweet was actually criticizing foreign content (as if) and that’s that. Well, even if it was criticizing foreign content, it was still anything but constructive criticism.
I love you @wajahatrauf and you know it … my tweet was about foreign content and not yours people just trying to create an issue out of nothing … Best of luck for your upcoming film and what ever you do in future my friend ???

In response to Fahad’s new tweet, Wajahat put up a new status on Facebook where he thanked Fahad Mustafa for putting out the fire before it spread. He also made some genuine points about the criticism he had been receiving on the content of Enaaya in the same post.
Not Entirely Convinced, but Okay!
We eventually got in touch with Fahad Mustafa too, but the actor said he had nothing new to add and that his tweet had already said everything he needed to say. Fair enough Fahad, but we still have our suspicions.
The timings of Fahad’s last tweet coincides just perfectly with Enaaya‘s release. Additionally, the language of the tweet says a lot too, and then finally, there is that Instagram video subtly poking fun at Wajahat Rauf’s work.
Anyway, here’s to hoping that Fahad’s latest tweet is actually true and that there is hopefully no animosity between the two. This is one instance where we wouldn’t mind being proven wrong.
