At first we thought it would just be an another film being made under Shehzad Rafique banner, then came the news that Shaan, Ahsan Khan and Zara Sheikh are part of the movie and this gave us a bit hope that movie is going to be a good one.
Now It seems like Shehzad wants no stone to be un·turned and thus from shooting locations to the music of the film, the director Shehzad Rafique; keeping his limitations in mind, is really making some cool choices.
The latest from his side is that the Arabian model cum singer ‘Wiam Dahmani’ has signed Shehzad’s upcoming film Ishq Khuda and would be making her lollywood debut through the film.
The decision is quite a unique one actually, as in past we have seen that if directors had some deviating requirements regarding cast, Indian actors were their only choice. In this case however, Shehzad went on to signing the half Moroccan, half Emirati model Wiam Dahmani for his upcoming Sufi-romantic film. The last close act of such sort was seen in Reema’s last directorial venture Love Mein Ghum, where she signed the Azerbaijani model Araida in the movie, whereas there were some news reports that Bilal Lashari might cast the french actress Sarah Desage in his upcoming much awaited film Waar.
No role details have been revealed yet, however, Wiam; who would also be making her acting debut through the film, spoke to Pakistani media a bit and said, ” I feel great to be in Pakistan. When the director approached me for the role, I immediately said yes.”
Whereas the director Shehzad Rafique stated the selection of Dahmani to be necessary to add freshness to the screen and also explained it as the gateway opening for other international artists.
Wiam already has quite an experience of working in subcontinent, she recently featured in the video and also vocally collaborated with Pakistani band Suroor for their song ‘Sajna Vey’ and has also done some promotional shows for Bollywood films. Wiam is a great fan of Indian films by the way..
We hope this new addition in Ishq Khuda proves to be a fruitful one for Shehzad and more importantly for Pakistan film industry and we also hope that Shehzad Rafique would keep experimenting such unique yet interesting ideas in future too.
That’s a great news it would b a great approach to international cinemas of lollywood movies. It seems in coming years lollywood will also be known as film industry which is best for Pakistanis to promote their real face to others.
best of luck shehzad rafiq u doing good job love u pakistan
