Pakistani actress Meera’s upcoming psycho-thriller Indian film 5 Ghantey Mien 5 Crore has been cleared by Indian film censor board with “A” Certificate–Raising no serious objection on any part of the movie– making it all set to release on 8th of June this year.
The director of the film, Faisal Saif announced this via his recent Facebook status where he stated, “The FINAL DATE For PGMPC Is 08th June 2012..
(Finally Cleared By Censor Board With “A” Certificate – No Cuts)
Releasing In India And Pakistan (By Meera) Together..
PS: Don’t Kill Me Friends!! This Time It’s Final..”
It is important mentioning here that the film has been cleared by ‘Indian Censor Board’ only, making it eligible to be released only in India. To screen the film on Pakistani cinemas, Faisal would surely have to have clearance certificate issued from Pakistani censor board too.
When asked about the same issue, Faisal in a statement to Galaxy Lollywood said, “I had a conversation with Meera. She said that “I” have to make cuts according to Pakistani audience and give to Pakistan’s censors, so that they may NOT take any actions. Even Pakistan censor board is very co-operative.. They said that they will give the certificate before 05th June”
In any case, the Meera fans should expect the film hitting cinemas on 8th June and we hope no further delays are made.
Along with Pakistani actress Meera, film stars Abhisheik Kumar, Kavita Radheshyam and veteran Indian actor Gopal Bedi (Ranjeet).
