Not to our surprise, the Shoaib Mansoor production and the mega hit on Pakistani silver screen last year; Bol, has bagged all three film awards at 11th Lux Style Awards 2012.

In a grand event last evening, where many of the TV, film, fashion and music stars walked on the ‘Green Carpet’ and were applauded for their achievements in different mediums, Pakistani film Bol was prominent amongst other nominations with all three film awards in its pocket.

The film Bol received the ‘Best Film of the Year’ award, while Manzar Sehbai and Humaima Malick won the ‘Best film actor and actress’ award, respectively. As usual, Shoaib Mansoor was not present in the ceremony and his glass-piece was received by actress Mahira Khan, who also starred in the film. Mahira also received the ‘Best Film Actor’ award on behalf of Manzar Sehbai.

Humaima Malick at receiving the award said, “Thank you Lux, I feel super!”

Another highlight of the event was Humaima’s performance with actor/singer Ali Zafar which was received quite well by the audience.

On the other hand, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy was presented with ‘Special Achievement Award’ for her win at Oscar in short documentary category for her film ‘Saving Face’.

Express Tribune (on a related issue) adds:

Manzar Sehbai of Bol rejects LSA Best Film Actor award

Manzar Sehbai of Bol fame has rejected the Best Film Actor Award he won at Lux Style Awards 2012.

In an exclusive talk with The Express Tribune, Sehbai said he had not been invited to the event and that he rejected the award.

Sehbai is currently in Germany and the award had been accepted by Mahira Khan, who also starred in Bol.

The actor has vowed to take action against the organising body of Lux Style Awards.

Separatelyentrainment website Pakent.net reports that Sehbai is unhappy with the LSA management for misspelling his father’s name. They also report that the actor had wanted his brother, Sarmad, to receive the award on his behalf, but the LSA management had not contacted him.
