Watching her over every weekend in the evening on Geo News (where she hit the real fame) hosting a current affairs show, one may have have wondered at some point that why such a face is not part of the country’s acting scene instead? And those aware of her sibling link with TV and theatre actress Nimra Bucha, would have just wondered about it more than anyone else. It’s pretty clear that we are talking about the TV host and now a to-be-actor, Sana Bucha, who has been cast in Dr. Hassan Waqas Rana’s (Waar’s producer) next action filled thriller Delta Echo Foxtrot (D.E.F).
But the awesomeness of the news just doesn’t end here as she is not the only cool face to feature in what looks to be a far cooler project. Instead she will be joined by the multifaceted Ayesha Omer and the super-star boys of Pakistan film Industry, Shaan and Humayun Saeed in the male camp.
Sana Bucha is currently nowhere on TV, and it’s perhaps for the best as it would give her a good schedule space to work on the movie. Contrary to that, Ayesha Omer is everywhere these days, dramas, sitcoms, photo-shoots, ads, music and what not. But it would be interesting to see her experimenting with a completely new ball game, though she recently gave appearance in one of the song videos of Humyun Saeed’s silver screen latest, ‘Main Hoon Shahid Afridi’ (MHSA).
Shaan and Humayun Saeed, both, on the other hand are tightly knitted with dozens of projects in their schedule (Gidh, Arth, Kambakht etc.). With success hitting Shaan’s Waar and Humayun Saeed’s MHSA, one couldn’t expect anything else either. But we hope they remain a constant link to this amazing cast line-up and give us something real extra ordinary at the end of the day.
D.E.F locally titled as ‘Yalghaar’ as per some reports, will be a high-octane action-packed thriller based on the lives involved in ‘War on Terrorism’. Directed by Hassan Waqas Rana himself, the script of the movie will be a combined effort of Shaan and the Doc.
Well, let’s hope all goes well with the cast and the movie and we finally get to see the real product in our cinemas within the given end line (Winter 2014 or early 2015).
