
Price of Honour to be released by the end of April
Price of Honour, the much-awaited film by Syed Noor aims to promote parallel cinema in Pakistan. It is in the final phases of post-production and is said to hit cinemas by the end of April.
The film is a reflective look at honour killings in Pakistan and has mostly been shot in Rahim Yar Khan, the region where most honour killings are reported. The actors playing the lead roles in the film were
Mona Lizza launches her website
While music and fashion celebrities of Pakistan are quick to launch websites to update their fans on their latest projects, having an official website is still a rare trend among the film and television artists. But actor and model Mona Lizza has gone a step ahead, launching her very own http://monalizza.com/
Lizza announced the launch on Wednesday. Talking about her website, she said, “I’m a professional actor which is why I have launched this site.”
Giving details about the content and features, she said, “the website carries my biography, photographs, television dramas, telefilms and details on other projects.”
British director Steven Moore’s Pakistani film “Tamanna” (An Overlook)
This would be one of the most interesting projects in the history of Pakistan film industry. The upcoming Pakistani film Tamanna is directed by British director Steven Moore and produced by Sarah Tareen, who by the way also has the experience of working with Shoaib Mansoor for his blockbuster hit “Khuda Kay Liye (KKL)”.
The movie is Pakistan’s first feature film to be directed by any British director, as all the past efforts and tries on the same lines have been on lower level. Tamanna has got a very experienced and a heavy cast which includes internationally acclaimed Pakistani actors like Salman Shahid, Faryal Goher and Omair Rana.

Reema planning an another movie
Pakistan’s leading actress & the glamour girl of film industry “Reema Khan”, after completing her second directorial film now planning an another movie.
The planning of the movie is in its full swing and according to some news reports the leading cast has been finalized and the other pre-shooting work for the film is on its way. Reports also suggest that the shooting of the film will start in April 2011.
FiLums: Learning from others key to revive film industry
“We can revamp our film industry by learning from the experience of Hollywood,” film-maker Sarmad Sultan Khoosat said on Friday.
He was speaking at a workshop on film making skills at the second day of FiLums, amateur film festival, at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
