Sahir Lodhi’s ‘Rasta’ is about system’s failure, revenge and bond of brothers

Sahir Lodhi is one of the most meme-ed and talked about celebrities of social media in Pakistan beside having a substantial fan following on radio and TV. The VJ-turned-host decided to test his luck in film-making with Mausam, but the film seems to be in production limbo for some time now. This is not all, as Lodhi has announced another film Rasta which will be a dark, romantic, action thriller and might release before Mausam.

Sahir Lodhi is playing one of the lead roles in Rasta opposite super model Saima Azhar who is debuting at the acting career with this film. The cast also includes model-turned-actor Naveed Raza and TV’s stud Aijaz Aslam in lead roles and Sana Fakhar and Shamoon Abbasi in supporting roles.

“The film is about the failure of the system, revenge and bond of brothers”, Naveed Raza told Galaxy Lollywood while talking about the story of the film. He abstained from revealing any further details about the film except that “it will be a treat to watch”.

The script of the film is co-written by Sahir Lodhi and Shahid Naqvi. The film will be shot in the city of lights, Karachi, and it is being directed by Saqib Siddiqui.

The music of the film will be done by Sajji and the maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Amjad Sabri will lend their voices. Mathira is signed for an item song in the film as well.
