As the camera of director Altaf Hussain’s upcoming film Khamosh Raho is now closed and even the post-production work is almost complete, the promotional campaign for the film has now started to ensure a successful cinema release of the film on 10th of next month.

For the same purpose a promotional press conference and a sort of artist gathering was organized few days back (18th may) in Lahore press club, where along with actress Juggan Kazim (who is making her debut on big screen through this film), many other important personalities attached to this film spoke to media and briefed about their role in the film, they also talked about the current state of the industry and the role this film can possibly play in reviving the cinema of Pakistan.

Where Juggan emphasised more on the unity inside the film industry for its revival, writer of the film Nasir Adeeb on the other hand urged the government to support Pakistani cinema by playing its due role.

Producer of the film, Ghafoor Butt while speaking at press conference, said, “I have produced a family film so that a person can watch and enjoy the talent of Pakistani cinema with his whole family without any embarrassment or hesitation. I am introducing four newcomers including my own son Sheraz Butt in the film so that some new blood can be injected into the industry which I believe can revive the industry in real terms”.

On the other hand, director of the film Altaf Hussain said, “making a film in this low time is not an easy job to do and I would say that Ghafoor Butt has really done a “Jihad” by making this film and I am sure people will come to cinemas on 10th of June to watch the film and appreciate our effort”.

Talking about the leading actress of the film ‘Juggan Kazim’, Altaf Hussain said, “For Juggan I only want to say that we have now found the substitute of Babra Sharif and I am sure she will play a great role in reviving the industry”.

Replying to which, Juggan in a latest interview to a news agency said, “I am really thankful to Mr. Hussain for comparing me with Babra Sharif, who really was one of the best and a successful actress of her time and gave Pakistan numerous hit films in industry’s heydays, she has the same fan following till now and I have watched some of her films and I am also one of those fans of her”.

Just to give a quick overview to some of our readers who are not aware of the film, Khamosh Raho is a forthcoming film directed by seasoned director Altaf Hussain, starring for the first time together Shaan Shahid and Juggan Kazim in lead roles, rest of the cast includes Ghulam Mohiyuddin, Bahar Begum, Maryam Khan, Sheraz Butt, Kinza Malik, Asif Khan and Ghafoor Butt. An interesting thing about the movie is that it will become the first Pakistani film to have five songs in Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s soulful voice, which has already given and still giving one after another hit tracks for numerous Bollywood and Pakistani films. Film will release on 10th of June this year while director is planning to release it in other parts of the world too.
