Hot this August (2011)

Her queen’s tag at ‘Morning Show World’ might have been snatched away but she was and always is the queen in her fans’ heart. Yes you guessed it right; we are talking about everyone’s sweetheart Nadia Khan, who pretty much just vanished away from the face of this earth. But here’s news for you all Nadia Khan fans. If rumors are to believed, Nadia Khan is all set to make a comeback on the TV world by moving to a new channel with a new morning show. We don’t know which lucky channel it is but if we make a guess, then it has to be HUM TV. Why? Because after Noor left Fahad Mustafa and Kiran have not actually been the best hosts ever and yes HUM could definitely use Nadia’s skills.

Besides this, there are also some speculated reports that she would be joining Dunya News this time as the channel don’t really have any morning show and surely it would like to cash the skills of Nadia. So wait guys, a storm is soon to hit the TV world.

Talking about the TV world, Meera’s much hyped and much talked about TV stint has come to an end. The grand show “Kon banay ga Meera Pati” has come to an end and no Meera is not a married woman now and she is pretty much the same old Meera. The winner of the show was selected but Meera then made it pretty clear that marriage is yet not on her mind and is a far away possibility.

She said that the winner and herself are just good friends and nothing more or less. Now that’s not right Meera ji. We know that the idea of the show had come from India and the winner Rakhi Sawant did not marry the winner but Meera ji she did change the engagement rings and after some time of dating did she realize that they wanted much different things from the marriage. So bad Meera ji bad!

Discussion of Rakhi Sawant just reminded us of our own local Rakhi (Veena Malik). How can our “Hot this August “ post be complete without her mention. So yes the rumors are now confirmed, she is doing an Indian film “Daal Mein Kuch Kala Hay”. The cast of the film is not that impressive but yet controversial with “Shakti Kapoor” “Raja Chowdry”(Ex-husband of Indian actress Shwetta Tewari). Anyway the director of the film ‘Anand Balraj’ is something positive. With an experience of acting in some of the big films like Shahrukh Khan Starrer Pardes and Sanjay Dutt’s Khalnayak, we can expect something big from his side.

Furthermore it’s also currently in news that Veena will be seen doing an item song in Bollywood film Phir Mulakat Ho Na Ho.

Here we are posting two videos which will elaborate the news. One is the launch party of the film and the second is Veena’s exclusive interview with a Bollywood website.

With that let’s come back to our lovely Lollywood. Saud and Javeria recently welcomed their new baby boy in this world. Here is a picture.

Now let’s move on to some big news, so hold your breath when we tell you that this Eid will see 7 films hitting the cinemas. No! All of them are not Urdu. There will be 3 Pashto 2 Punjabi and 2 Urdu films. The two Urdu include our beloved “Love Mein Gum” and the action packed drama “Bhai Log”. The Punjabi ones include Syeed Noor’s “Jugni” and another film “Shah Muraad”.

Now the better cinema’s will be occupied by LMG and BL as evident from the promos being shown at the cinema’s while the mass audience single screens will obviously show the other films. Now that’s what we call heading in the right direction Pakistan, films of all genres and for different audiences.

Eid surely is bringing back the lost “ronakein” to cinemas. By lost I mean lost due to the not so many Pakistani films released in the first 7 months of the year. The films released include:-

Basically out of them all the film that complete bombed at the box-office was debutant Juggan Kazim’s film Khamoosh Raho. If you thought that the disastrous fate of the first film might have slowed her plans of making it big in Lollywood then you are in for a surprise as Juggan is constantly working on her second film “Chup”. The film stars her and Shaan. Juggan believes that we should realize that we have a certain style in Lollywood and we have to work with it. She says its time to move over Bol. Yes Juggan and look forward to Chup, how ironical. Note that Chup is Shaan’s directorial venture, third to be specific. The film also stars Vaneeza Ahmed and will mark her big screen debut.
