Veena Key ‘Gunahon Ka Anjaam’

Releasing old films which could never see the light of the box office in their time, with new catchy names has not been a new concept in Lollywood.

I am sure you all remember when Meera came back to Pakistan after shooting her debut Bollywood Movie “Nazar”. There was a lot going on. There were strikes which wanted Meera’s entry banned in the country, Meera was receiving death threats, all because of a supposedly kissing scene in the film. The then Prime Minister of the country Shaukat Aziz had to step in to provide security for Meera.

During all this “afra tafri” the producer of one of Meera’s old unreleased film decided to release his movie. The tagline was changed from the name of the film to “Hindustan may film karnay kay baad Meera ka Ek Gunah Aur”. The film also had Mommar Rana in it but despite this much buzz, the film was not a success on box office, however, the film did make its recovery.

Now something similar is happening in 2012. We all know Veena Malik is a household name and anything associated with Veena surely generates buzz. Therefore the producers of a certain film starrig Veena have decided to release their film today “10 February 2012”.

The film is now conveniently titled “Gunahon ka Anjaam”. Clearly it is not a new film as Veena has not shot for any Pakistani film for atleast five years or so. If one remembers there was a film starring “Shaan” and “veena Malik” which was to be released years ago. Maybe it is the same film.

Furthermore this film is extensively promoted using the tagline “Hindustan main badnaam  honay wali Veena Malik kay Gunahon ka Anjaam” on the streets of Lahore. Now whether the film will be a hit or not that time will tell.
