Main Hoon Shahid Afridi may be out of the Eid race but Ishq Khuda and Josh are definitely still in in it to win it. Therefore it does not come as a surprise that Shehzad Rafique and team Ishq Khuda decided to hold a private premiere for the film which took place yesterday at Lahore’s CInestar cinema. Here I would like to mention that film has already had a world premiere in Toronto and this was the film’s Pakistani premiere.
The celeb factor at the premiere was not that great as many people were missing from this event notably Shaan, Ahsan Khan, Saima and Wiam Dahmani ( basically the entire star cast of the film). It was only Meera and Shehzad Rafique who made an effort to come to the premiere of their own film!
Of them all Wiam Dahmani is excused as she had some important international project and was not in Pakistan, but she left no stone unturned to promote her film on the social media and was heavily present on facebook last night. She also told team Galaxy Lollywood that she would soon be coming to Pakistan. Saima usually shies away from media events so it was pretty much expected that she wouldnt show up, but her hubby Syed Noor was there to make for her absence. Why Shaan and Ahsan Khan royally snubbed the event we have no clue.
Other celebs who showed up at the premiere included Zara Sheikh ( I am a HUGE fan of hers but sadly I only found out now that she was there and couldnt meet her), Syed Noor and Begum Nawazish.
Let me briefly comment on the fashion quotient of the night. Meera did not look as horrible as these pictures might lead you to believe. She actually looked quite the diva. Zara Sheikh should have never showed up in those hideous clothes, bad hair do and macabre make-up.( actually even Meera had a weird make-up but I think its for the camera). Begum Nawazish looked her usuall self and same for Shehzad Rafique and Syed Noor.
We will very soon put up the review of the film 🙂
