Ali Zafar teams up for debut feature film in Pakistan

Ali Zafar without a single glitch of doubt is one of the most diverse packages of talent Pakistan entertainment industry has produced in current times. An artist with dimensions and layers of talent that the country can truly be proud of.

A carrier of huge fan following of his own, Ali has no doubt made us proud wherever he went, but many amongst that robust fan following even felt a sense of betrayal when he decided to experiment himself with Bollywood. Some even called him a short-seller. Ali waited, gave a precise story of his own side, but largely waited and waited to respond to his critics with practical efforts.

That practical response has now been made public, and it announces to us all that Ali is now very much involved these days in his upcoming film that will finally mark his silver screen debut in Pakistan.

The moment would have come a while ago, in 2007 to be more precise, had Ali taken up the offer of Shoaib Mansoor to do his big screen directorial debut; Khuda Kay Liye, where he was offered the role that finally landed in Fawad Khan’s laps and actually established him as an actor to the masses.

But as they say, better late than never, Ali has finally done it, or has started picking up the line rather. The news about this film is that not only would Ali act in it, but will also produce it and is currently even penning its script as well.

Faisal Qureshi (Left) and Ahsan Rahim (Right) are also part of the projct

Although much hasn’t been revealed about the project yet, but it is confirmed that the famous television and commercial director, Ahsan Rahim has been roped in to direct the project, whereas, Faisal Qureshi (the comic actor) is also part of the team. This all hints towards a full comedy laden crazy project, and Ali describes it in no other words. Talking about the film in Nida Yasir’s morning show a few days back, Ali said, “It’s going to be a completely crazy project, I don’t want it to be any other way, I love doing things that sound crazy to me, different, even when reading a script, I look for the peculiar twists in it aside from the usual everyday hero-met-heroine love story.”

A fact to be noted here is that Ahsan Rahim and Faisal Qureshi are also Ali’s NCA (National College of Arts) buddies.

Well, with Ali Zafar and Ahsan Rahim and Co. involved and spearheading the project, this one is surely something to wait for. We at Galaxy Lollywood wish the team best of luck for the film.
