Comeback: These 5 Lollywood Divas are all set to rule your hearts once again.

by Momin Ali Munshi

These Lollywod divas may not have been seen on the silver screen for quite some time but they are all set to come back from the sabbatical and sizzle the silver screen with their presence. You know there was a time when only a glimpse of these beauties would guarantee a “dhamaka” at the box-office and would create a frenzy among the cinegoers. However with the passage of time as the Film-Industry saw its downfall these beauties also were no more seen on the screen.  Some took to acting in television serials, others took upon hosting and some made their way to the local theater but nothing beats the allure of the silver screen and hence they are all finally coming back to where they belong in the first place. Here is a list of the 5 divas who are all set to come back :-

Resham_Pakistani_Actress

1) Resham
Last Seen In: Tarap (2006)
Comeback film: “Swarangi” ( 2015) and “Saya E Khuda E Zuljlal”(2015)

It has almost been a decade since we last saw Resham in Sangeeta’s ambitious project “Tarap” which by the way did not work wonders at the box-office and made Resham move to television. However as they say that talent speaks and that is exactly what happened with Resham as she gave some amazing performances in television serials and won herself more fans. Now she is all set to comeback to her original love i.e cinema in the film Swarangi, produced by Mazhar Abbas, which is a social-drama film and is all set release this August. Moreover there are rumors that she may also be a part of the upcoming film  “Saya E Khuda E Zuljlal”.

saima2) Saima Noor
Last Seen In: “Ishq Di Galli” (2014)
Comeback Film: “Salute” (2015)

Although Saima’s name on the list may seem a bit off as she technically never left and has been constantly churning out films left and right. However most of these films are old films which are finally being released and some are old films being re-released with new names. However ever since her 2010 film “Wohti Ley Kay Jaani Aay” most of the films she has done are forgettable and hence it would not be wrong to say that she will actually be coming back in a powerful role in the up-coming Shehzad Rafique film “Salute”.

meera3)Meera
Last Seen In: “Devdas” (2015)
Comeback Film: “Dekh Magar Pyaar Say “(2015)

Again, although her last film  released just a few months back it was shot almost a decade back! Yes you read that right. The film was in production for a long while and was originally going to release in 2010 but after many delays it had a limited release in 2015. Furthermore  Meera has not been associated with a proper film for long and her last decent film was the 2013 release “Ishq Khuda” which also released after quite some delays. With Dekh Magar Pyaar Say being the poster film for the new wave of cinema lets see how Meera makes her way in this new wave.

Sana Nawaz Pakistani Actress4)Sana
Last Seen In: “Son of Pakistan” (2011)
Comeback film : “Ishq Positive”

Sana was last  seen in a supporting role in the 2011 film “Son of Pakistan” and Sana’s last film as a leading lady was the 2008 film  “Khulay Asman Kay Neechay” which bombed at the box office. Although Sana just has an item number in the up-coming film “Ishq Positive” but those who have seen the rushes vouch that Sana is going to steal the show.

noor-actress-425)Noor
Last Seen In: “Bhai Log” (2011)
Comeback Film: “Revenge Of The Worthless” (2015) and “Ishq Positive” (2015)

Noor was last seen in a supporting role in the film “Bhai Log” but Noor has not graced the silver screen in a leading role for more than a decade and she will be coming back as heroine in the upcoming film “Ishq Positive”. Moreover Noor will also be playing a supporting role in the eagerly awaited film “Revenge Of The Worthless”. It is worth mentioning that Noor, after her departure from films, has been seen hosting a morning show on a local channel and the show has seemed to click with the audiences. Noe lets see whether her films click with the audiences or not.

We at Galaxy Lollywood hope that these comeback performances generate the right amount of buzz and get new age directors to sit up and take notice of these evergreen beauties so that we get to see them on screen. These wanna be divas of yesterday years should stay in the past and not pollute the new bright talented Pakistani film industry their acting skills were limited and they bought a certain amount of cheap, sleazy shady creepy felling to the screen we now have decent educated talented women who are successful in Pakistan and Bollywood so let the world see the new real divas not the left overs from yesterday years.
