Politicians are corrupt and root of all evil in Pakistan. It is the stereotypical view of politicians the mainstream media has been presenting for last seven decades in Pakistan. This time the narrative will be retold in an action-thriller Maalik, the film written, produced and directed by Ashir Azeem.
The first teaser of the film was released in mid 2015, but the film went to oblivion before coming to life again this month. The official trailer of the film is just out and also its release date is announced.
Maalik is releasing on April 8, finally!
The trailer of the film, launched in Karachi last night, has been creating good amount of buzz since its release on the internet. With more than 135 thousand views within less than 24 hours on the official Facebook page of the film, the trailer is being liked greatly by the viewers.
The cast of the film includes Ashir Azeem, Ehteshamuddin, Farhan Ally Agha, Sajid Hassan, Tatmain ul Qalb, Hassan Niazi, Erum Azam, Adnan Shah, Pakiza Khan and Rashid Farooqui.
Ashir Azeem, who is well known for his drama Dhuaan of PTV’s golden era, is playing the character of a retired SSG officer who runs a private security company in Karachi. Hassan Niazi is debuting as the interior Sindh feudal lord and Chief Minister of Sindh in the film, a role which fits him like a glove.
“Maalik a story of love, loyalty, honor, family value, idealism, courage and dignity against all odds, and across all sections of society from the poor and the struggling to the highest levels of wealth and power”, says the official press release shared following the trailer launch.
The second half of the trailer filled with action shots is really spectacular and reminds the grandeur of Waar. These ISPR choreographed action sequences in the film will be the real treat for the action lovers.
