We reported you earlier that Wajahat Rauf has put the third installment of Karachi Se Lahore on hold and jumped onto a new project. Not revealing much at that time, the director had told us that he is eyeing Eid-ul-Fitr 2019 as the release date for this next project of his. That was earlier this month, and now, finally, we have more details on the film.
Our curiosities got piqued this morning with one of Wajahat Rauf’s social media posts. The director, who had mostly been sharing stuff related to his recently released web series, Enaaya, lately on social media, shared a BTS picture featuring Mehwish Hayat and Zara Noor Abbas, and announced that both will be part of his third film.

After this, we rang some phones and got to the task of getting more insights on this yet-to-be-titled film. Here is all we dug out.
From the Cast
While the makers of the film remained tight-lipped about the cast of the film, our high placed sources are confirming that the film stars Azfar Rehman as the main lead, whereas Asad Siddiqui is the parallel lead, besides, of course, Mehwish Hayat and Zara Noor Abbas.
While Wajahat has already confirmed the ladies of the film in his social media post, Asad Siddiqui also made things official through his Instagram account.

Furthermore, we hear that the makers will be announcing Azfar Rehman and Asad Siddiqui as the parallel leads of the film soon enough.
Zara says:
To know more about the cast’s perspective on the film, we talked to Zara Noor Abbas, who told us that, “It’s a romantic comedy with lots of fun stuff and I am sure people will like it.”
Talking about her role and experience of working alongside the powerhouse actor, Mehwish Hayat, Zara said, “My role is primarily a parallel lead, and I don’t see it as a supporting character, but Mehwish, as the main lead, was a delight to work with. She is such an amazing actress and gives great reactions, so I loved it.”
Interestingly, in terms of shooting, Asim Raza’s Parey Hut Love is Zara’s debut film, but since this untitled project is planned for Eid-ul-Fitr 2019 while Asim’s film comes out on Bari Eid, it will be Wajahat’s film that will be counted as the actress’s debut on silver screen.
“I shot Parey Hut Love first, and Asim taught me a lot and trained me whereas Wajahat was more fun and easy to work with, which was quite contrary to what I had heard before working with him,” the actress said on the situation.
Another interesting fact is that excluding Zara, the entire cast that can be currently confirmed about this Wajahat Rauf film is also present in the director’s web series, Enaaya.
From the Director
We also talked to Wajahat Rauf regarding the project, who although remained tight-lipped on other things, but revealed that “it is a family based rom-com, and completely different from my past work. This one will have more emotions.”
About the release date, he once again confirmed us that he is eyeing the time around Eid-ul-Fitr for this film.
Talking about Enaaya, Wajahat said, “the response has been great, and we are already planning a season 2 of the web series.”
Well, we say best luck Wajahat. Best of luck also to other people involved with this untitled project.
