Some eight years back, around this time (Feb 25, to be precise which is also today) Meera and Reema decided to put an end to their age-old antagonism, and The News reported it. Reema said that she had always considered Meera a friend, but the latter never did the same.

Meera, on the other hand, said that she had now given up on thoughts that led to fights between them. All seemed to be working out between both until yesterday when the history repeated itself (10/10 for the time timing, we must say) at an event in Lahore called ‘Bleed Green.’

What All Happened?

The event took place at the Lahore Press Club and featured some prominent names like Reema, Meera, Resham, Shahida Mini, Waris Baig, and more.

Resham lauded Imran Khan and Pakistan Army and said that they stand by them, no matter what. Reema mentioned how people who talk war are against humanity while Meera announced that she would never work in any Indian film ever again.

The highlight of the event, however, was an argument between (yes, you guessed it) Meera and Reema. According to a news report, once the main event had concluded, Reema hit Meera with her elbow, and things turned ugly between the two stars. However, according to our own source who was an eye-witness of the entire event, it was actually Meera who started the fight.

The Blood in Meera’s Eyes

It all started once the main highlight of the event, the press conference against India, was over. It was as if Meera had come to the event with blood in her eyes for her old colleagues as, after the event, she first tried to get tangled with Resham.

While Resham had been relaxing and chatting with her friends after the press conference, Meera came and launched a verbal attack on her. She accused Resham of backbiting against her to which Resham reacted quite maturely by not responding much and trying to pacify the situation.

This was, however, done more in private and not many got to experience this. A few minutes later though, the entire Reema-Meera episode happened.

Meera Hits Reema

So apparently, Meera hit Reema first to which she replied, “Meera yeh tum kia kar rai ho?” Meera then went on to abuse Reema and said, “GET LOST” a couple of times before Reema called her a stupid woman and moved aside.

Two of the finest actresses of the past who have done some excellent work while in the industry, indulging in something as petty as this was truly in bad taste.

While talking to Express Tribune, Meera mentioned that Reema has always been jealous of her. “At the event, she hit me with her elbow as she walked into the room. So I had to respond in my own way. Reema Khan is a sick woman who has always been jealous,” Meera said talking about the event.

She also mentioned how Reema started a smear campaign against her along with Waris Baig, in the past.

Reema, on the other hand, has chosen to stay silent on the matter, for now.
