Last month, rumors started making rounds of social media that Nora Fatehi – a dancing star from across the border – was all set to make her debut in the Pakistani cinema, through a dance number in the upcoming film Superstar. The producer for the film, however, refuted any such claims. She mentioned that there was indeed a dance number in the pipeline for the film but Nora Fatehi or anyone from across the border was not doing it.
Some background on the dance number
“There is a big song number in the pipeline for Superstar, however, there is no truth to the news that it will feature anyone from across the border. We have not signed on any actress for the song as of yet. The process of shortlisting and finalizing the actress to feature in the song is still underway. All of the actresses that we are considering are Pakistani. We have not reached out to anyone else,” revealed Momina Duraid, the producer herself, while talking to Galaxy Lollywood.
Momina further added that they were still planning for the song and would begin shooting for it shortly. The song number for Superstar will be shot on a grand scale and would be picturized on the film’s lead actor, Bilal Ashraf.
Kubra Khan to be seen in the said dance number
Looks like the wait is finally over for Momina Duraid just confirmed with us that the big dance number we’ve all been talking and speculating about will feature Kubra Khan alongside Bilal Ashraf. She further mentioned that the song will be a big budget number and honestly, we cannot wait to see what the duo has in store for us. The film is currently in the phase of completion and the audiences are definitely in for a treat as news is that there are quite a few special appearances by the top guns of the Pakistani industry in the film.
As for Kubra Khan, the actress has exhibited her phenomenal dancing skills time and again. Be it her dance performances at the HUM awards (both 2017 and 2018) or in films (Parwaaz Hai Junoon, for instance), Kubra has proved herself to be a great dancer every time. This is precisely why we are keeping our fingers crossed for the grand song. Let’s wait and see if we are getting another Mehndi jam, soon.
