We have already been hooked ever since ISPR announced its new project with a strong female cast, titled ‘Sinf-e-Aahan’, which translates to Women of Steel. The upcoming drama is a joint collaboration between ISPR, Samina Humayun Saeed, Sana Shahnawaz of Next Level Entertainment and Humayun Saeed and Shahzad Nasib of Six Sigma Plus.
Written by Umera Ahmed, ‘Sinf-e-Aahan’ is being directed by the maestro Nadeem Baig and already has the audience super excited for the project as it comprises some of the finest actresses on Pakistan television namely Sajal Aly, Yumna Zaidi, Kubra Khan, Syra Yusuf and Ramsha Khan, in pivotal roles.
The Big Reveal
But that’s not all. Sources have confirmed that ARY Digital’s drama will not only have a powerful female cast but also some stellar male characters as well, to be played by Sheheryar Munawar, Usman Mukhtar, Ali Rehman Khan, Asim Azhar and Asad Siddiqui.
Fan-made speculations rose when pictures of Sheheryar Munawar and Ali Rehman Khan alongside Syra Yusuf, Nadeem Baig, and producer Ammara Hikmat went viral.
Later, Usman Mukhtar confirmed the news of him being a part of it by announcing it on Instagram.
Also, model-actress Meerub Ali will be debuting with this drama. She shared a few pictures with Yumna Zaidi on her Instagram and she mentioned ‘Sinf-e-Aahan’ in the caption. It appears that Merub might be playing Yumna’s younger sister or a friend in the drama.
It will interesting to see if rumoured couple Asim Azhar and Meerub Ali will be sharing screen.
The pawri girl, Dananeer Mubeen will also be portraying a character in the show, given the fact that she was also seen with Syra Yusuf, Yumna Zaidi and Kubra Khan recently.
We can’t wait to see a picturesque photoshoot of the complete cast. The project has raised our expectations with a stellar ensemble.
What To Expect?
According to the creators, ‘Sinf-e-Aahan’ is one of the biggest and most expensive dramas to be made in the history of Pakistani dramas on television. Revolving around females who go from being the weaker links of a chain to the strongest ones. The show will focus on stories of six female cadets with lives and perceptions of their own, bound by their love for the Pakistan Army.
It will be a unique story that talks about women’s strength but also depicts their weaknesses which they gradually but courageously fight with to become stronger i.e. ‘Sinf-e-Aahan’, the women of steel.
