Whenever you’ll hear the names of Ayesha Omar and Azfar Rehman taken together, you’ll be taken back to the time the duo had a terrible accident on the highway. Even though Ayesha and Azfar have worked together in countless projects, ‘Ladies Park’ being one of the most popular ones, their fans usually remember them with the terrible, life-threatening accident the duo had, back in 2015.
Ayesha And Azfar Are Changing The Narrative Now
Perhaps both Ayesha Omar and Azfar Rehman have become tired of the narrative of being involved in an accident together and want to give their audience something new to link the two with. And so, the two will now be seen together in an upcoming drama for Hum TV titled ‘Bisaat’.
“Shoot for the project has already begun and it’s been a hell of fun,” said Ayesha Omar, while talking to Galaxy Lollywood. “Azfar and I have known each other for ages. I’ve done a lot of projects with him. In fact, the last serial that I did, back in 2014-2015, was with Azfar Rehman only,” said the ‘Bulbulay’ starlet.
Adding further about her camaraderie with Azfar Rehman and the bond the two share, Ayesha added, “Azfar and I have travelled the world together, we had the best and worst times together. He’s more like family. We don’t need to meet to feel that love and connection and that’s why it’s always very comfortable working with him. The comfort is next level when I’m working with Azfar. He understands when I’m in a bad mood and I do the same.”
Ayesha Does A Serial After Five Years
Although Ayesha Omar has been appearing in a sitcom, ‘Bulbulay’, it’s almost after five years that Ayesha is doing a serial. The actress shared how she had been relatively busy with a serial for ages but decided to take up ‘Bisaat’ for old times sake.
“I didn’t have a time for a committed serial but when ‘Bisaat’ came along, things just fell into place. The drama, Fahim Burney directorial has an ensemble cast, which means that no one actor or actress bears the burden of the entire serial. The work is equally divided amongst everyone and all characters have an equal presence in the show, which for me, meant that I could still invest time with this despite being busy with other commitments. Also, the character offered to me is very interesting that I couldn’t say no,” said Ayesha.
Talking about her character, Ayesha Omar shared, “This girl I’m playing, she’s half Turkish and half Pakistani. She’s an evolved and emotionally mature girl. She isn’t reactive because of her emotional stability and that is how she deals with the situations around her. She doesn’t react and gets what she wants, which might perturb the other people around her.”
Adding further about the message ‘Bisaat’ would give, Ayesha added, “This is an emotional drama with a lot of positive subliminal message. The women characters in this drama are very strong. They do have their share of miseries but they will come out of it stronger than ever.”
