In a recent tête-à-tête with the talented actress Amar Khan, we got an exclusive sneak peek into her upcoming telefilm, which promises to be a laughter-packed ride. Directed by the versatile Angeline Malik, who has previously directed directed several telefilms as well, such ‘New Love Ki Old Story‘ and ‘Zara Si Aurat’ for HUM TV.

The telefilm boasts an ensemble cast featuring Muneeb Butt, Saman Ansari, Sajid Hasan, Zoya Nasir, and Umer Alam. Let’s dive into the details and discover what makes this telefilm a must-watch comedy.

Insights Into The Telefilm

Amar Khan’s character as a female cop is far from the conventional stereotype. In her words, “It’s influenced by ‘Dabangg‘ and ‘Singham,’ since this is a comedy telefilm, the character is very hilarious and crackling.” She described the character as “audacious, blunt, and animated”, with a Karachi diction that adds to the humour. Expressing her joy for comedic roles, Amar revealed, “My previous Ramadan play, ‘Heer Da Hero’ did really well and I look out to comedy. Having those Punjabi funny bones, it’s something instilled and deep-rooted inside me to perform comical characters. It’s a pleasure when you get a chance to embody a character who isn’t that innocent, beautiful and weeping girl, that we usually get to play.”

Collaborating With Muneeb Butt

Having previously worked with Muneeb Butt in the drama ‘Baddua’ and an anthology series ‘Kitni Girhain Baqi Hain’, directed by the same director, Amar shared that their on-screen chemistry has always clicked.”We’ve given some hit shows together. He has great comic timing and it’s always a pleasure working with a friend. It was a lot of fun.”

On-Set Dynamic

The telefilm’s diverse ensemble cast, including Saman Ansari, Sajid Hasan, Zoya Nasir, and Umer Alam, contributed to a rollercoaster of laughs and fun on set. Amar said, “I was working with Saman Ansari and Sajid Hasan for the first time and they were so dedicated and fully involved in scenes. It’s always a pleasure working with such artists who inspire you. From the newer lot, we had Umer Aalam and Zoya Nasir, who are equally capable and they are adding so much fire and hilarious gags to the scenes. The ensemble cast is indeed very diverse and though we shot this film in just 4-5 days, it was a rollercoaster ride with lots of laughs and fun.”

Amar expressed admiration for director Angeline Malik, highlighting her versatility and the rare diversity she brings to the industry. The actress commended Malik’s ability to navigate different genres with finesse. “We have very few female directors and very few offer so much diversity. Angeline is one of those”

Comedic Genre And Special Elements

Confirming the telefilm’s comical tone, Amar assured audiences of a fun-filled one-and-a-half-hour experience. She hinted at unexpected twists and urged viewers to enjoy it like they would any male cop film, promising a night of laughter. With the shoot already completed, the telefilm is set to hit air soon on HUM TV, promising viewers a delightful and entertaining experience.

With a stellar cast and a unique take on the female cop character, this telefilm is poised to capture the audience’s hearts with its humour and entertainment.
