Honestly, we don’t know when the much delayed Imran Khan biopic, Kaptaan, will hit cinemas in Pakistan. The last we felt some activity in the production camp of the movie was a year ago, around the general elections of the country, things, since then, have been dead static as far as the production updates are concerned.
But with consistent updates regarding the music of the film, there remains a hope, hope that Kaptaan will someday soon progress to its release stage as well. The latest of such updates came a few months back on the Facebook page of the movie; releasing the second version of the soulful soundtrack from the film named, Zikar.
With the original version having a poetic beginning and a mellow yet classical run with the main vocals of Khadim Hussain, the track earned quite a reception on its release, on the release of film’s theatrical trailer in fact, where it was used as the musical support in the back play.
The second version of the song, however, is more alive in its feel and gladly doesn’t come out of its basic classical structure, all thanks to the amazingly soothing vocals of Abbas Ali Khan and an additional Sitar part in the music, the track will absolutely strike the right chords of your soul. A great share of credit for producing this beautiful track also goes to Farhan Zameer, the man in-charge of Kaptaan’s music. Kudos to you guys, now please release the film too.
Here: Enjoy.
