Screenwriter, Kamran Pasha, recalls, “Most of the Muslim roles went to the Greek guys.” The need for authenticity became apparent after 9/11, leading to the creation of a Hollywood Bureau for the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) in 2007.
